It's personal to women and children in need around the world
Nutrition should be personal and we mean that. From the very beginning, we’ve been on a mission to improve the lives of women and children around the world.
Which vitamin is part of your daily self-care routine?
A healthy diet is a great way to get in most of your daily nutrients, but even the healthiest diets may be lacking. There is a reason 94% of the population is deficient in at least one nutrient. Ensuring that you receive all 30 essential nutrients- vitamins and minerals- each day keeps you healthy. And at Vitamin & Me we make it personal.
Your vitamin helps someone else too.
What you may not realize is that by subscribing to Vitamin & Me to improve your health, you’re also helping improve millions of lives around the world.
We’ve been partnering with Vitamin Angels, a public health organization putting life-saving nutrients into the hands of mothers and children across the world, since the very beginning.
Every month your new shipment arrives, another shipment is delivered to someone in need.
And thanks to YOU, together, we’ve now made more than 40,000 nutrition grants globally.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Vitamin & Me, a company that truly cares about making the world a healthier place. Together, we will bring the gift of nutrition to even more vulnerable pregnant women and children in the U.S. and around the world,” said Howard Schiffer, founder and president/CEO of Vitamin Angels.
22% of the global under-5 population (145 million children) are chronically undernourished and is causal for nearly half the death in children across the world.
How Vitamin Angels Helps
In 1994, Howard Schiffer founded Vitamin Angels and gave more than 100,000 vitamins to families in need.
Vitamin Angels is now in more than 70 countries and reaches more than 70 million women and children in need annually, including underserved areas in the United States.
By giving women and children who are at-risk for malnutrition access to vitamins, Vitamin Angels is providing healthy nourishment during the critical first 1000 days of a babies’ life, reducing infant mortality rates and delivering vision and life-saving vitamins to those in need. Their nutrient delivery program is giving children a healthier start to life and improving community wellness. And by partnering with us, you are too.
Vitamin Angels’ goal is to eliminate newborn mortality due to vitamin deficiency by 2030 and YOU are helping them get there.
“If you think about how much nutrient-rich food a woman needs for nine months and what it would take to get that food to her village, how she would store it, just all the challenges. Then, you think about a bottle of prenatals. You can bring that in a backpack anywhere in the world, and what a difference it would make. That to me, that’s an amazing thing,” said Schiffer.
Malnutrition in the US
Malnutrition is not only happening in developing countries. It’s happening in the US too.
Possibly in your city and in your own communities. Malnutrition exists everywhere because of limited access to nutrient-rich foods.
More than 11 million children and nearly 15 million households in the US are malnourished.
Vitamin Angels works in every state in the US.
Thanks to YOU, we are reducing those numbers.
“If we do anything great in our lifetime, that’s what we want to achieve,” said Schiffer.
“With good nutrition comes the opportunity for a better education and increased life-long earning potential. As communities improve, everyone’s opportunity increases. Until you get proper nutrition in there, it’s really, really difficult to get ahead. This is not the only answer, but it’s one of the answers.”
